ALVISE MIGOTTO

Alvise Migotto began his music studies at the age of nine. He holds a Bachelor of Music in performance from the University of Toronto and a Master of Music in performance from the Manhattan School of Music in New York. He made his New York debut at Carnegie Recital Hall in 1993 to critical acclaim. Since moving to Brazil in 1994, he has appeared on the stage, TV and Radio and has taught at major festivals and academic institutions.

An inner quest led to interest and dedication to spiritual work and mindfullness meditation practices which led to research in the use of music as an instrument for healing since the early 1990s. During this period he has garnered experience from diverse meditation and spiritual traditions from India to Brazil. While his formal musical training was in the classical guitar, his work brings together the resources from a wide range of both music and spiritual traditions which blend to form a unique listening experience.

This work is presented in loving gratitude for all who have revealed a path of self discovery and healing.
